The much-anticipated animated film Ne Zha 2 is set to hit theaters across Hong Kong and Macao on Feb. 22. Jointly distributed by Mandarin Motion Pictures Ltd., Intercontinental Film Distributors (HK) Ltd., Sil-Metropole Organization Ltd., and Emperor Motion Pictures, the film held its HK premiere on Feb. 18 at the Jade & Pearl Plaza in Causeway Bay.
The event drew a host of prominent figures, including HK's Secretary for Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Rosanna Law; Chairman of Mandarin Motion Pictures Ltd., Raymond Wong; Chairman of Lai Sun Group, Peter Lam; and Chairman of Emperor Group, Albert Yeung.

A special highlight of the premiere was the attendance of Chu Wan-pin, the original composer of the film's music. Chu has been nominated for the "Best Original Film Score" category at both the Asian Film Awards and the Hong Kong Film Awards for his work on The Last Dance. During the premiere, Chu shared his creative journey while composing music for Ne Zha 2, adding excitement to the film's upcoming theatrical release.

In his speech, Raymond Wong expressed his pride in Ne Zha 2, which became the first Chinese film to surpass RMB 10 billion in box office revenue. He emphasized that the film introduces Chinese culture to a global audience, demonstrating the achievements of the Chinese animated movie. Wong commented that the movie's themes—such as "I'm the master of my own destiny" and "creating a better future"—resonate strongly with younger generations, making the film especially appealing to viewers.

Secretary for Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Rosanna Law also expressed optimism about the film's impact during her speech. She noted that the release of Ne Zha 2 in HK serves as an excellent example of highlighting Chinese culture through cinema.
