Since its release during the Spring Festival, "Nezha 2" has surpassed RMB 8.4 billion in total box office earnings as of Feb. 10, 2023, which ranks it among the top 30 films in global box office history.
On Feb. 8, at around 4 pm local time, "Nezha 2" held its premiere in a Hollywood theater in Los Angeles, marking its first screening outside of China. The audience response was overwhelmingly positive.
The film is set to release in Australia and New Zealand on Feb. 13, followed by Canada and other U.S. cities on Feb. 14. Ahead of its U.S. debut, most screenings had already sold out, with some shows fully booked.
In Australia, the pre-sale for "Nezha 2" has been exceptionally strong. Reports from the local Chinese community indicate that the first IMAX screening in Sydney sold out almost instantly. Some fans, unable to secure tickets, sent urgent requests to the cinema chain to add more showings. As a result, IMAX screenings increased from one to three, with tickets for the central Sydney IMAX recliners, priced at AUD 65 (approximately RMB 460), selling out quickly.

Currently, there are no scheduled screenings in Western European countries like the UK and France. However, some fans have even organized trips to Greece specifically to watch the film.
Latest projections suggest that "Nezha 2" could surpass the significant milestone of 10 billion RMB by Feb. 16, with an overall box office total potentially reaching an unprecedented 10.877 billion RMB. If these predictions hold, "Nezha 2" will rank as the 13th highest-grossing film globally.
