A serious traffic accident occurred on Sham Mong Road in Cheung Sha Wan at 1 pm today (Feb. 6). Two private cars collided with each other on the opposite side of No. 8 Sham Shing Road, resulting in a female student being trapped and once unconscious, and injuries to another female student and a passer-by.
The three injured were sent to Princess Margaret Hospital and Caritas Medical Centre for treatment, while the unconscious female student regained consciousness after being hospitalized. According to sources at the scene, a black Tesla, which was turning left onto Sham Mong Road, was suspected to be traveling at too high a speed when it ran onto a safety island and crashed into a white car.
Witnesses said the accident occurred when two female students were waiting to cross the road in the middle of the safety island, a black private car suddenly came at high speed, and then a female student was injured and fell down, and the other was caught in the middle of the two private cars.
At present, the police are investigating the cause of the accident.
