In addition, the average number of influenza cases at medical institutions in Japan reached a high of 64.39, with the average number of cases exceeding 30 in almost all prefectures.

The latest data show that in the week of January 20 to 26, medical institutions reported an average of 11.06 people with influenza, a decrease of 7.32 people compared to the previous week, showing a decreasing trend for two consecutive weeks, and all 47 prefectures in Japan, influenza outbreaks slowed down compared to the previous week, and all of them are lower than the standard of 30 people who issued influenza alerts. The total number of patients seen during the week was nearly 55,000, a decrease of about 36,000 from the previous week, with an estimated 386,000 patients nationwide. The cumulative number of patients for the flu season since Sept. 2 last year through this week is estimated to be about 9,523,000 people.
