
The 2025 Asian Winter Games in Harbin will begin on Feb. 7. Athletes, coaches, and medical staff from the Hong Kong delegation are making their way to Harbin, with the men's and women's ice hockey teams set to compete in group matches tonight, Feb. 3.
Fok Kai-kong, Vice President of the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong and head of the Hong Kong delegation, expressed the significance of participating in Asia's largest winter sports event in Harbin, a renowned city for ice and snow. He looks forward to seeing the athletes showcase their passion and perform at their best, urging citizens to cheer for the Hong Kong team.
The ninth Asian Winter Games will occur from Feb. 7 to 14 in Harbin, with Hong Kong sending its largest-ever delegation. Athletes will compete in six sports: curling, ice hockey, figure skating, short-track speed skating, speed skating, and alpine skiing. Notably, this marks Hong Kong's first appearance in curling at an international multi-sport event.
The Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong will provide updates and results on various platforms and has launched a dedicated page for the Asian Winter Games to encourage public support for the athletes.
