Choi said that compared with other places, the resources allocated to tertiary institutions in Hong Kong have not been too much, coupled with the fact that various institutions have accepted donations, there are also many self-financing students from research institutes, and their finances are relatively sound, the government has taken into account factors such as the burden on families before deciding on the rate of increase in tuition fees, and the current subsidized places are subsidized by the government at a rate of 87%, and emphasized that no public money will be used to subsidize non-local students.

Choi pointed out that the primary and secondary school curricula should address the advent of the artificial intelligence era, and senior primary school curriculum will be added to the program.

She said that junior high school has an artificial intelligence module, and has been committed to the development of STEM education focusing on the integrated use of mathematics and engineering, that artificial intelligence and STEM complement each other.

The Steering Committee on Strategic Development of Digital Education will continue to explore how to integrate resources in various areas, and step up its efforts to promote relevant education, she added.
