A recent post circulating online, accompanied by photos, shows a middle-aged man wearing a blue shirt and glasses openly urinating at the entrance of a building while using his phone.
Disturbingly, when he noticed he was being photographed, he defiantly raised his phone to record the bystanders. This behavior has drawn significant criticism from netizens, who labeled him as lacking civic responsibility, with comments such as "People without shame are unbeatable" and "This is what happens when you urinate on your own feet."
A user in the Facebook group "To Kwa Wan Friends" warned fellow residents to be cautious, stating, "Aside from the foul smell, you might also face intimidation." The uploaded photos depict the man urinating against a wall near a busy street with parked cars and pedestrians passing by, which many found highly inappropriate.
The incident occurred at a building on Pak Tai Street 28-28A and has sparked heated discussions online. Many comments criticized the man's lack of public decency, with phrases like "Shameless and self-absorbed" and "What a disgrace."
Others mocked the situation, suggesting, "If you're busy taking pictures, you might as well be peeing on your shoes," and "Finding a McDonald's would be better than using the stairwell."
According to Hong Kong's Public Public Cleansing and Prevention of Nuisances Regulation (Chapter 132BK), urinating in public areas is illegal. First-time offenders can face a maximum fine of HK$5,000, while repeat offenders may be fined up to HK$10,000.
