Today (Jan. 22), the Shenzhen Spring Flower Market opens for a seven-day event, running until Jan. 28 (New Year's Eve). This article consolidates information about four flower markets near the Shenzhen-Hong Kong boundary, allowing Hong Kong residents to experience the festive atmosphere.

However, citizens should note that according to Hong Kong's Cap. 586 "Endangered Species Ordinance," the popular New Year flower orchids, are classified as endangered plants and cannot be brought into Hong Kong.

Luohu Aiguo Road Flower Market (Access via Luohu Port)

  • Overview: The largest flower market in Shenzhen with nearly 300 stalls, including over 180 flower shops. It features seven exhibition areas for flower sales, dining, cultural products, New Year goods, and gifts. Activities include traditional lion dances, parades, and a lottery with prizes such as jewelry and small household appliances.
  • Dates: Jan. 22 to 28
  • Location: Luohu Aiguo Road, Shenzhen
  • Transport: Cross at Luohu Port, take Line 1 from Luohu Metro Station to Laojie Station, transfer to Line 3 to Cuizhu Station, and walk about 15 minutes from Exit B2.

Futian Festival Avenue Flower Market (Access via Futian Port)

  • Overview: Approximately 200 stalls featuring flowers, cultural New Year goods, and snacks. There will be three daily sessions of "God of Wealth" activities distributing red envelopes and coupons.
  • Dates: Jan. 22 to 28
  • Location: Festival Square on Festival Avenue, Futian District (near Joy City)
  • Transport: Cross at Futian Port, take Line 10 from Futian Port Station to Gangxia Station, and walk about 5 minutes from Exit B.

Nanshan Dutch Flower Town (Access via Shenzhen Bay Port)

  • Overview: This year's theme is "New Flowers for the Year of the Snake." The market connects Dutch Flower Town, Zhongshan Park, and Nantou Ancient City, extending to several parks and shopping areas in Nanshan. There will also be a special market in collaboration with the League of Legends international IP.
  • Dates: Jan. 22 to 28
  • Location: 3008 Yueliang Bay Avenue, Nanshan District
  • Transport: From Shenzhen Bay Port Station, take Line 13 to Shenda Station, transfer to Line 1 to Daxin Station Exit B, and walk for about 23 minutes.

Yantian Central Park Flower Market (Access via Liantang Port)

  • Overview: Located by the sea, visitors can enjoy coastal walks, visit the lighthouse library, and camp on the central lawn while exploring the flower market.
  • Dates: Jan. 22 to 28
  • Location: Haijiang Road, Yantian District
  • Transport: Cross at Lian Tang Port, take Line 2 from Lian Tang Port Station to Haishan Station, and walk about 8 minutes from Exit A1.

To facilitate cross-boundary travel for residents to celebrate the New Year together, bus routes have been established from areas like Futian, Luohu, and Nanshan directly to the flower markets. For example, there is a direct bus from Nanshan Dutch Flower Town to Shenzhen Bay Port, and free shuttle buses covering the three main ports in Luohu District.
