Sakurajima volcano, located in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan, erupted again on the afternoon of Jan. 19, with an ash plume reaching a height of 2,000 meters above the summit crater. This marks the 15th eruption of the volcano this year.
According to a report by Minaminihon Broadcasting (MBC), the eruption occurred at approximately 3:26 p.m. local time. Over the course of three eruptions, volcanic smoke rose to a maximum height of 2,000 meters, while large volcanic rocks were scattered within a radius of 500 to 700 meters from the crater.
