Revealing founder of Myawaddy's Yatai City: She Zhijiang's two-faced life poisons Chinese 'piglets'
The father of mainland male model Yang Zeqi, who was missing in Thailand for over 20 days, posted a video message on Weibo last night (Jan. 16) stating Yang has safely returned to China. In the video, Yang's father expressed gratitude for everyone's help in safely bringing Yang Zeqi back to China. He also advised young people to be vigilant, to identify online scams, and not to fall victim to them.
Before this, the young actor Yang received a filming invitation from a "production crew" in Thailand, traveled there alone, and went missing upon arrival. It was reported that he was once trapped in a scam park in Myawaddy, Myanmar.
The rapidly expanding Yatai City in Myawaddy is the world's largest scam compound. Its founder is She Zhijiang, who has been wanted by the Chinese police for a long time. On August 13, 2022, She was arrested in Thailand on suspicion of operating illegal cross-border gambling and is still awaiting extradition to China.
Born in a rural area of Shaoyang City, Hunan Province in 1982, She went to the Philippines in his twenties to engage in online gambling. In 2014, She was convicted in absentia by the Yantai City Court in Shandong Province for operating illegal cross-border gambling targeting China in the Philippines and illegally profiting US$298 million. He was sentenced severely along with 8 other defendants. She, who was on the run, has been wanted by the authorities.
She, creator of the criminal kingdom of Myawaddy
Relying on gambling, scams, and drug trafficking activities in Cambodia, Thailand, and other places, She obtained Cambodian citizenship in 2017 and changed his name to "She Lunkai." The scammer mingled with the overseas Chinese communities in Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, and other countries, portraying himself as a "Chinese businessman" and transforming into an entrepreneur and philanthropist in Southeast Asia. He leveraged this to establish the "Yatai New City Economic Zone" in Myawaddy, specializing in hosting black industry teams and companies involved in online gambling, scams, and other illicit activities flowing from the Philippines, Cambodia, and northern Myanmar. Additionally, She is also one of the masterminds behind the "KK park," involved in human trafficking and organ trafficking.
After Cambodia issued a ban on gambling in August 2019, many gambling companies in Cambodia shifted to Myawaddy, entering Yatai City and other areas. In less than ten years, Myawaddy has become the largest hub for scams, vice, gambling, and drugs in Southeast Asia, with rampant online scams. In the Yatai City area alone, there are over 20,000 "piglets" (people who fell into the hands of fraud factories) from mainland China.
Some lucky "piglets" who managed to escape from the Myawaddy scam compound described it as a "hellhole" where human life is treated as insignificant. Some were deceived, some were kidnapped and sold, and others were lured over through fake job offers. Disobedience leads to beatings or severe torture. The ransom demands are exorbitant, and once inside, there is little hope of leaving. Daily intensive work, hellish management, confinement within high walls and electric fences, all under dire conditions.
