At least 25 people have died as the Los Angeles, California, fire continues to burn. Following the death of former Australian child actor Rory Callum Sykes, Dalyce Curry, a veteran of The Ten Commandments, died at the age of 95.
Dalyce Curry was known for her work in The Blues Brothers, The Ten Commandments and Lady Sings the Blues. Her granddaughter said via social media on Sunday (Jan. 12, local time) that Dalyce's body was found inside her Altadena home after it was engulfed in flames. The granddaughter said she drove her grandmother home on Tuesday evening and the fire quickly spread to the area; she was prevented from going to her grandmother's apartment the next day by police, who told her the home had burned to the ground, and she didn't receive news of her grandmother's death until Sunday.
The granddaughter said that her grandmother was a very active and passionate person who could not tell she was 95 years old.
