At least 25 deaths from California wildfires, police have arrested 14 people
According to CCTV News, on Jan. 14, officials in Los Angeles reported that the wildfires have resulted in at least 25 fatalities.
The Los Angeles Police Department indicated that within the Palisades fire area, at least 13 people remain missing. Initially, 35 individuals were reported missing, with 2 confirmed dead and 20 safe; however, authorities believe the missing are likely not deceased.
Additionally, police have arrested 14 suspects related to the fires. Among them, three were arrested on Jan. 12 and 13 for suspected arson, while others face charges of impersonating firefighters and police, vandalism, and burglary.
