
On Jan. 20, EST, President-elect Donald Trump will be officially inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States, according to the Associated Press. On Monday (Jan. 13, EST), Trump's presidential transition team unveiled its schedule of events leading up to and following his inauguration, including official parties, MAGA rallies, a major fireworks display and a schedule of other activities.
It was revealed that Trump's inaugural committee has already raised more than US$170 million and is on track to raise up to US$200 million.
According to OpenSecrets, a nonprofit organization that tracks U.S. political money, spending on Trump's inaugural events will amount to an average of about US$37,000 per minute, more than four times the US$8,600 per minute spent on Obama's first inauguration ceremony.
