Panda-themed high-speed train debuts in HK, connecting cities for 12 weeks
The MTR Corporation, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Tourism Board, launched the "High Speed Rail Panda-themed Train" today (Jan. 11). This train will operate for 12 consecutive weeks on weekends and select days, connecting HK with Guangzhou and other cities. The inaugural trip is set for 8:23 a.m. today, departing from West Kowloon Station to Guangzhou South Station.
The train, a revamped "vibrant express," features eye-catching panda-themed designs on its exterior, incorporating iconic HK landmarks such as the Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower, the Convention and Exhibition Centre, and Golden Bauhinia Square. Inside, passengers will find panda motifs adorning seats and luggage racks. Adding to the charm, the panda mascot takes on playful roles, including a high-speed train conductor and a tourism ambassador, introducing passengers to must-visit attractions in HK.
