Ceasefire negotiations in Gaza have resumed in Doha: Hamas
According to Xinhua News Agency, on Jan. 3, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) issued a statement announcing the resumption of ceasefire negotiations in Doha, Qatar, on the same day. Hamas emphasized its serious and proactive approach to the talks, aiming to reach an agreement as soon as possible.
The statement highlighted that the current discussions focus on achieving a comprehensive ceasefire agreement, the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the Gaza Strip, the specifics of its implementation, and the return of displaced persons to their homes.
In recent months, multiple rounds of ceasefire negotiations have taken place in Doha and Cairo, but none have succeeded in establishing a resolution to end the conflict.
