Ex-husband attacks ex-wife's new partner in Tsuen Wan over love rivalry
A late-night altercation in Lei Muk Shue Estate has led to the arrest of a 36-year-old man for allegedly assaulting his ex-wife's current boyfriend and issuing verbal threats. The incident occurred at approximately 1 a.m. on Jan. 2.
Police were called to the scene by a woman who reported that her ex-husband had threatened and physically attacked her 46-year-old boyfriend. After a preliminary investigation, the ex-husband, surnamed Tse, was arrested on suspicion of "criminal intimidation" and "common assault." He is currently in custody for further questioning.
A 12-centimeter-long dining knife, suspected to be connected to the case, was seized at the scene. The victim sustained injuries to his chest and leg but was conscious when transported to Yan Chai Hospital for treatment.
Sources indicate that the altercation began with a heated argument between the two men. During the dispute, one of the men reportedly placed a dining knife on the table and issued verbal threats before carrying out the attack.
