Worker struck by glass panel at site above West Kowloon Station, later pronounced dead
A fatal industrial accident occurred at the site above the West Kowloon Station. A 53-year-old worker surnamed Leung was performing glass curtain wall work in a commercial unit when he was reportedly struck by a 2.5-meter by 2-meter glass panel after a canvas strap broke at around 4 p.m. yesterday (Dec. 28).
Rescue personnel arrived at the scene, where the male victim was found unconscious and later confirmed dead at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The police are investigating the cause of the accident, which is classified as an "industrial accident".
