Chinese table tennis legend and reigning Olympic men's singles champion Fan Zhendong has announced his temporary withdrawal from the world rankings. The decision comes as he plans to reassess his career trajectory, citing the need to avoid conflicts with the mandatory participation requirements set by the World Table Tennis.
For the future, Fan made it clear that he has not yet thought about retirement, and confirmed that he will participate in next year's Greater Bay Area National Games.
