Customs officials recently uncovered a case involving two incoming travelers who allegedly concealed drugs in their bodies, seizing approximately 1.5 kilograms of suspected cocaine valued at around HK$1.3 million.

The two female travelers, aged 46 and 42, arrived in Hong Kong from Entebbe, Uganda, via Doha, Qatar. During customs clearance, officers suspected that the two women were hiding drugs internally and took them to a hospital for examination. As of this afternoon (Dec. 24), both individuals have expelled a total of 115 pellets weighing about 1.5 kilograms of suspected cocaine.

The arrested individuals have each been charged with a count of trafficking in dangerous drugs. The case is scheduled to be heard in the West Kowloon Magistrates' Court on Dec. 26.
