IMMD reports high cross-border traffic with nearly 1.14 mn trips
The Immigration Department reports that nearly 1.14 million people crossed the border yesterday (Dec. 22), including over 590,000 departures and more than 540,000 arrivals.
In terms of departures, nearly 400,000 were Hong Kong residents, with the majority exiting through the Lo Wu Control Point, followed by the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line Control Point and the airport.
Regarding arrivals, approximately 370,000 were HK residents, while over 135,000 were visitors from the mainland, along with nearly 40,000 other travelers.
