A traffic accident occurred in Hung Hom this morning (Dec. 23). At around 8:00 a.m., a BMW sedan traveling along Chatham Road North towards Yau Ma Tei reportedly lost control and collided with a lamppost near Wuhu Street.
According to on-site footage, the front of the vehicle was severely damaged, with debris scattered across the road. The lamppost was knocked down as a result of the crash.
Police arrived at the scene and confirmed that the driver and a passenger were injured. Due to the accident, sections of Chatham Road North (towards Yau Ma Tei) near Wuhu Street have been closed to traffic. Motorists can only use the remaining lanes, leading to heavy congestion in the area.
