Peng Liyuan visits Macao Museum, interacting with students
Peng Liyuan, the wife of President Xi Jinping, visited the Macao Museum on the morning of Dec. 19, where she interacted with students.
The Macao Museum is located next to the famous landmark, the Ruins of St. Paul's.
The president of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Leong Wai-man, stated that this was Peng's first visit to the museum. Peng learned about Macao's development through various exhibits, and she expressed great interest in the lives of Macao residents.
According to Leong, Peng encouraged the children to learn about Macao's history and culture, which would help them contribute to the future development of Macao.
A Grade 6 student described the opportunity as precious, noting that Peng was very gentle and that the atmosphere was lively. Another student said they felt honored and happy, describing Peng as friendly.
