OpenAI said on Friday(Dec.14) that its chief executive, Sam Altman, was planning to donate 1 million U.S. dollars to U.S. President-elect Donald J. Trump's inaugural fund, joining a number of tech companies and executives who are working to improve their relationships with Trump. (Reuters)

OpenAI said on Friday(Dec.14) that its chief executive, Sam Altman, was planning to donate 1 million U.S. dollars to U.S. President-elect Donald J. Trump's inaugural fund, joining a number of tech companies and executives who are working to improve their relationships with Trump.

"President Trump will lead our country into the age of A.I., and I am eager to support his efforts to ensure America stays ahead," The New York Times quoted Altman as saying in a written statement.

Earlier this week, tech giants Amazon and Meta said they were each putting 1 million dollars into the inaugural fund.
