The American AI company Artisan recently placed giant advertisements on the streets of San Francisco, with the slogan calling for "Stop Hiring Humans," which immediately sparked heated discussions among netizens.
People who were influenced by Artisan's advertisements expressed shock and anger on social media platforms, saying, "It's hard to imagine that an advertisement designed by humans would claim to stop hiring humans," "One day, these CEOs will also be replaced by AI," "Why would anyone work for a company dedicated to making everyone unemployed?"
Artisan's CEO, Jaspar Carmichael-Jack, told the media, "They are somewhat dystopian, but so is AI... The way the world works is changing." He admitted that the company aims to attract attention in this provocative way. Some have speculated that the creativity of this advertisement was likely inspired by the video game Detroit: Become Human.
Public information shows that Artisan is supported by the startup accelerator Y Combinator, achieving US$1 million in annual recurring revenue within three months. The company has a total of 120 clients, and its flagship product is "Ava," an AI sales representative depicted as a female human in the aforementioned advertisement.
