Macao hosts spectacular fishing boat parade to celebrate 25th anniversary of return to motherland
On Dec. 12, Macao celebrated the 25th anniversary of its return to the motherland with a grand fishing boat parade organized by the Macao Fishermen's Mutual Help Association.
Chen Mingjin, chairman of Macao Fishermen's Mutual Help Association, highlighted the achievements of the past 25 years under the "one country, two systems" principle. Chen also reiterated the association's commitment to promoting patriotism, uniting fishermen, and supporting the Macao government's governance efforts to ensure the long-term success of the "one country, two systems" principle.
The celebratory parade featured 25 brightly decorated fishing boats. Adorned with fluttering Chinese national and Macao regional flags, the boats carried slogans such as "Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Macao's Return to the Motherland." The vibrant display created a jubilant atmosphere, with residents and tourists stopping to take photos and join in the celebration of this significant milestone.
