One elderly man stung by bees, another falls when hiking in Hok Tau, Fanling, rescued by helicopter
A hiking accident occurred in Hok Tau, Fanling this afternoon (Dec. 10). Over 20 hikers set off from Hok Tau Reservoir, but encountered a swarm of bees along the way.
An 80-year-old man was stung and injured, and a 76-year-old man fell and was also injured. Fellow hikers reported the incident for help.
When personnel arrived, both injured individuals were still conscious. They were subsequently rescued by a helicopter dispatched by the Government Flying Service and taken to Eastern Hospital for treatment.
