Popular Japanese actress Miho Nakayama found dead at 54
Japanese actress Miho Nakayama has tragically passed away at the age of 54, as reported by Japan's TV Asahi.
Her final social media post featured a photo of a work by French-American artist Louise Bourgeois, accompanied by a message reflecting her emotional turmoil: "I'm sorry I'm not good at photography. My heart has been shattered these past few days, and I can only talk to my friends who walk with me."
The artwork she shared included the phrase, "I have been to hell and back. And let me tell you, it was wonderful," indicating her struggles with depression.
After receiving a call from her colleagues expressing concern, police arrived to find Nakayama deceased in her bathtub. An investigation into the cause of her death is currently underway.
Nakayama had been scheduled to perform at a Christmas concert in Osaka on the day of her passing but canceled due to health issues.
Miho Nakayama starred in several iconic Japanese films and television series, including the classic "Love Letter" and "Sleeping Forest." In the late 1980s, she was recognized as one of the "four idol queens" alongside Shizuka Kudo, Yui Asaka, and Yoko Minamino.
