Trump taps David Perdue as US ambassador to China
US President-elect Donald Trump appointed former Senator David Perdue as ambassador to China.
"He will be instrumental in implementing my strategy to maintain Peace in the region, and a productive working relationship with China's leaders," Trump said in a post on social platform.
Prior to entering politics, Perdue held executive positions in Asia at Sara Lee and in Europe at Reebok, where he initially attained the role of chief executive.
