Giant pandas An An & Ke Ke to meet public this Sunday
A pair of giant pandas, An An and Ke Ke, gifted to Hong Kong by the central government, will officially meet the public this Sunday (Dec. 8).
Chief Executive John Lee described the event as "highly anticipated" when he met with reporters before the Executive Council today (Dec. 3). He believes everyone is very excited and hopes to see the giant pandas soon.
Lee stated that Ocean Park has made extensive preparations to ensure that residents and visitors have a good experience when interacting with the pandas.
He emphasized the need to promote the giant panda economy in Hong Kong, including the introduction of more products and offers.
He also mentioned that in addition to Ocean Park, a series of giant panda carnival events will be launched in Hong Kong, which is expected to create a lively atmosphere for the city.
