HK Express revised its luggage policy in May this year, imposing strict restrictions on the size of carry-on luggage. Customers are required to measure their luggage dimensions on a measuring rack, and any luggage exceeding the specified size must be checked in for an additional fee.
However, the luggage racks of HK Express have occasionally been criticized by passengers for being "too narrow." Even when the luggage meets the designated length, width, and height requirements, it sometimes fails to pass the measurement test on the rack. Today (Dec. 2), HK Express/UO announced that they will introduce a new horizontal luggage size measurement rack, effective immediately, to facilitate passengers in measuring their luggage dimensions.

HK Express stated that the new luggage size measurement rack will be implemented at all operating airports of HK Express, believing that the new design can prevent passengers from encountering issues such as luggage cases with feet or handles that prevent them from fitting into the rack, or cases getting stuck due to their design. However, the company emphasized that the size and weight limits for carry-on luggage remain unchanged. Passengers wishing to bring their luggage onboard must purchase tickets under the "Lite" or "Max" categories.
