Caricature: Excuse
On Monday local time, US President-elect Trump announced on his social media platform that an additional 10% tariff would be imposed on all major Chinese goods entering the United States. He stated that this move aimed to combat drugs, especially the issue of fentanyl flowing into the United States.
In response to Trump's remarks, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry stated that since 2019, China has officially classified fentanyl-like substances for regulation, making it the first country globally to do so.
