As of today (Nov. 27), the "document-free" channel has been in use for one week on a trial basis at the Shenzhen Bay Port.
According to statistics from the Shenzhen Exit-Entry Frontier Inspection Station, since the pilot launch of the "document-free" channel on Nov. 20, as of 00:00 on Nov. 27, there have been about 213,000 passenger trips through the Shenzhen Bay Port "face-scanning" clearance, with a daily average of 30,000 passenger trips. Hong Kong residents accounted for a higher proportion of passengers using the "document-free" channel.
As far as we know, Shenzhen Bay Port has set up a total of 88 immigration express lanes, all of which can be adjusted to be "document-free" channels and support "face-scanning" customs clearance. Shenzhen Exit-Entry Frontier Inspection Station will dynamically adjust the number of "document-free" channels according to the on-site operational situation and relevant policies to further enhance the efficiency of customs clearance at the port.
