HSBC stops processing payments from Russia and Belarus for personal banking clients
HSBC has announced that it will stop processing all payments from Russia or Belarus for personal banking clients. The bank has made alternative arrangements for any such transactions. As of November 25, HSBC has halted all payments to personal banking customers from these countries.
HSBC has previously exited its commercial banking operations in Russia, completing the sale of its Russian subsidiary in May.
