HK Airlines: Bookings in Christmas, Spring Festival reach 85%, additional flights to Seoul, Tokyo to be launched in winter
Hong Kong Airlines said today (Nov. 21) that 85% of its Christmas and Chinese New Year flights have been booked, and 90% of its Northeast Asia Ski Resort routes have been booked. The Airlines plans to add flights to Seoul, Tokyo and Sapporo from winter onwards, and to launch the Sendai route in December to meet market demand.
The Airlines said that the number of flights this year has fully recovered to the pre-epidemic level, and the average passenger load factor has been maintained at approximately 85%. The airline expects to carry more than 5 million passengers for the year, which is in line with expectations. In the future, the airline will actively seek partners to expand the scale of its joint operations and realize multi-modal transportation by air, sea and land, in order to enhance the diversity of its services.
According to Hong Kong Airlines, it has already covered more than 30 destinations and will resume its Gold Coast and Vancouver routes in January next year. In order to cope with business development, the airline has significantly expanded its fleet this year. It is expected that by the end of this year, the fleet size will be increased to approximately 30 passenger planes as planned, and the airline will continue to expand its fleet size as necessary to further enhance its capacity.
