Watch This | Xi announces China's eight actions for global development at G20 Rio Summit
According to Xinhua, on Nov. 19, local time, President Xi Jinping attended the closing meeting of the 19th G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro, accompanied by Cai Qi and Wang Yi.
During the G20 Summit, Xi announced that China would support global development through eight actions, which include: pursuing high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, implementing the Global Development Initiative, supporting development in Africa, supporting international cooperation on poverty reduction and food security, proposing an Initiative on International Cooperation in Open Science to help the Global South gain better access to global advances in science, technology and innovation, supporting the G20 in carrying out practical cooperation for the benefit of the Global South, implementing the G20 Anti-Corruption Action Plan and pursuing high-standard opening up, and unilaterally opening its doors wider to the least developed countries.
