Following Donald Trump's re-election as US President, set to take office in late January 2025, an American cruise company has launched a four-year global voyage, offering a unique escape for those discontented with the political climate under Trump's second term.

According to US media reports, Trump's victory has frustrated some of his opponents, with a few even considering leaving the country. Seizing the opportunity, the cruise company has introduced a four-year journey spanning seven continents and 140 countries, providing an option for those seeking to avoid Trump's presidency for the next four years.

The cruise company offers four different packages, each with suggestive names. The one-year package is called "1-Year Escape from Reality," while the two-year journey is titled "2-Year Mid-Term Selection," possibly referencing the US mid-term elections. The three-year voyage is named "3-Year Everywhere but Home," and the four-year package is dubbed "4-Year Skip Forward."

According to the company's website, prices for the four-year voyage start at approximately US$256,000 for a single-occupancy cabin, which includes meals and entertainment. A double-occupancy cabin costs around US$320,000.

Mikael Petterson, CEO of the cruise company, responded to the media by stating that the promotional plan was prepared well before the US election results were announced and would have been rolled out regardless of the outcome. No matter who wins, half the country will be unhappy. We don't have a political stance—we just want to offer an option for those who feel threatened, he said.
