The Chief Executive, John Lee, who has just returned to Hong Kong from the 2024 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in Lima, Peru, thanked Vice Premier He Lifeng for attending and delivering the keynote speech at the Investment Summit, which demonstrated the country's support for and importance of Hong Kong as an international financial center.
Lee said that it is necessary to give full play to the advantages of the "One Country, Two Systems", consolidate and enhance Hong Kong's status as an international financial, shipping and trade center, and improve the mechanism for Hong Kong to play a better role in the country's opening up.
