It was reported that some higher education institutions in Macao requested the Examination and Assessment Authority to verify the DSE (Diploma of Secondary Education) results of applicants and discovered 26 cases of forgery, marking the first instance of DSE fake qualifications being detected.
Today (Nov. 16), Secretary for Education Christine Choi Yuk-lin stated in a radio program that the authorities received reports from a university in Macao, which indicates that more than 20 students are suspected of applying with false DSE results, and verification has been conducted with the Examination and Assessment Authority.
She noted that the authorities have reported the incident to the police, emphasizing that using false documents carries criminal liability.
She added that the Examination and Assessment Authority will keep DSE results in record and provide verification services, and anyone with doubts about a student's DSE results can inquire with the authority.
