The Apprentice, a film detailing the rise of US President-elect Donald Trump, is set for its Hong Kong release on Nov. 21, with the official HK poster now revealed.

The movie explores Donald Trump's ascent from the son of a real estate mogul to a dominant figure in New York's real estate scene in the 1970s. Determined to escape his father's shadow, a young and ambitious Trump sets his sights on making a name for himself in Manhattan. Along the way, he meets Roy Cohn, a lawyer who profoundly influences his life. Under Cohn's guidance—through deceit, intimidation, and manipulation—Trump climbs the ladder of power, but at what cost? The higher he rises, the more corrupt his journey becomes.

The Apprentice premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on May 20 this year and was released in the US on Oct. 11. The film, named after Trump's reality TV show, tells the story of Trump's early days and his rise in New York's real estate world. Directed by Ali Abbasi, a two-time Cannes award-winner for his films Holy Spider and Border, The Apprentice was selected for the main competition at this year's festival.
