Anti-Trump protest spreads across US
Multiple protests erupted in different parts of the United States after the landslide victory of President-elect Donald Trump.
On Saturday, thousands of people from both the East and the West coasts took to the streets to express their frustration over Trump's win in the November 5 polls against US Vice President Kamala Harris.
The demonstrations were held in major cities, including New York City and Seattle. Protesters emphasized that Trump's re-election poses a major threat to reproductive rights. Trump also sparked anger after he pledged to carry out a mass deportation program at the start of his upcoming presidency in 2025.
Following the election results, the number of US students searching for bachelor's and master's programs abroad on the site surged from a daily average of about 2,000 to nearly 11,000, with the main destinations being the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany and Ireland, among others.
