Elon Musk shares rocket photo to congratulate Trump on election victory
Donald Trump, the Republican candidate for president, declared victory in the 2024 US presidential election in the early hours of Nov. 6 (local time). Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX, who has reportedly donated over US$100 million (approximately HK$776 million) to pro-Trump committees, shared his thoughts on the election results via the social media platform "X" (formerly Twitter).
Musk stated that the American people have given Donald Trump a clear mandate for change. He further commented, "The future is gonna be fantastic," accompanying the post with a photo of a SpaceX rocket.
Musk also shared a picture with the caption "Let that sink in," showing him carrying a sink into the White House. The post serves as a reminder of the chaotic acquisition process in 2022, which saw Musk remove key executives as he took control of the platform.
Additionally, reports suggest that Musk's private jet has landed in Florida, where he is expected to join Trump at Mar-a-Lago to watch the election results unfold.
