The TCS Sydney Marathon presented by Asics is now the seventh Abbott World Marathon Majors (AWMM) race. Beginning in 2025, the Australian city will join the AWMM series that currently includes Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, and New York.
As participation grows, more runners are completing the "Six Majors," such as local DJ Jan Lam from Hong Kong, who recently finished the Chicago Marathon in 3 hours, 40 minutes, and 36 seconds, achieving his "Six Majors" goal.
