Lingnan University (LU) held its annual International on Oct. 29, attracting about 500 staff and students to participate in this cultural event, which is dedicated to creating an international multi-cultural campus.
This year's event featured a variety of special performances. In addition to K-pop dance, Pakistani music and Kazakhstani musical instruments performed by students, the event also featured booths from 11 countries and regions, including China, Germany, Japan, Kazakhstan and Mexico, showcasing the specialties of cuisines, handicrafts and games from various places, including those from the "Belt and Road" countries, to provide an experience for students and staff.
In his speech, the President of LU, Professor S. Joe Qin shared the new progress of LU in internationalizing the learning environment. He said the new semester welcomed more than 180 exchange students from over 20 countries and regions. The diverse campus provides students with rich experiences and learning opportunities to interact with young people from different cultural backgrounds and to learn about different cultures.
LU will strengthen its collaboration with institutions around the world to help promote the "Study in Hong Kong" brand globally and attract non-local talents to come to Hong Kong to pursue their dreams, thereby injecting new impetus into Hong Kong's social and economic development, Qin added.
