Tai Po burglary: Thieves make off with HK$230k in designer bags, jewelry, and cash
A burglary occurred in a village house at 39 Ting Kok Road, Tai Po. The incident was reported to the police at 00:43 a.m. today (Oct. 30) by a 42-year-old female homeowner who discovered the window of her residence had been pried open and the interior ransacked upon returning home.
Initial assessments by the victim estimate losses including three designer handbags worth about HK$100,000, jewelry valued at approximately HK$80,000, and around HK$50,000 in cash.
The police have classified the incident as a burglary and assigned it to the Criminal Investigation Team 9 of the Tai Po Police District. No arrests have been made yet.
According to HK 01, the stolen handbags were from Chanel and Gucci, while the jewelry included pieces from Chanel, Tiffany, and Hermès.
