During the 10th anniversary event of Foodpanda, the CEO of Foodpanda Hong Kong, Ryan Lai, mentioned that the company is in the preliminary stages of exploring drone delivery services.
This initiative comes as their parent company, Delivery Hero, has already launched drone deliveries in Europe. Foodpanda Hong Kong plans to study the feasibility of implementing similar services in Hong Kong, drawing on experiences from other markets, though Lai emphasized that these studies are still very initial.
Addressing the price wars initiated by competitors, Lai stated that having competitors is beneficial and that focusing on one's core responsibilities is paramount. He highlighted the importance of sustainable development, noting that while customers might be temporarily attracted by price discounts, superior service is key to retaining them in the long run.
