Shenzhen records highest import-export volume in first three quarters
CCTV News reports that Shenzhen has achieved a historic high in import-export volume for the first three quarters of the year, making it the leading city in mainland China for exports.
According to statistics from Shenzhen Customs, the Shenzhen Pilot Demonstration Area recorded RMB3.37 trillion in trade, marking a 20.9% increase from the previous year and positioning it at the top among mainland Chinese cities. This trade volume contributed 35.9% to the national foreign trade growth during the same period.
The data shows exports totaled RMB2.14 trillion, up 19.7% year-on-year, ranking first among mainland cities, while imports reached RMB1.23 trillion, increasing by 23.1%.
