HK police rescue Shiba Inu from underneath dumper trucks in Island Eastern Corridor
Police said on social media platforms, this morning at 11:00 a passer-by found a Shiba Inu weaving on Gloucester Road (eastbound).
The Hong Kong Island Regional Traffic Department received the report rushed to the scene, and found that the dog had run on the Island Eastern Corridor.
The officer immediately instructed the scene to slow down the speed of the vehicle, and blocked off a traffic lane, during the puppy was frightened to hide under the dumper trucks, fortunately, the public lent the dog leash and toys, and ultimately succeeded in rescuing the dog.
The police said the dog has been handed over to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) for care, hoping that it can be reunited with its owner as soon as possible, and thanked the public who assisted at the scene and the drivers who cooperated with the operation, which saved a precious life.
According to the SPCA, the dog is now at the SPCA Wan Chai Center, and is not injured and has a microchip on its body. The SPCA is contacting the owner of the dog.
