Doraemon voice actress Nobuyo Oyama passes away at 90
Nobuyo Oyama, the voice of the beloved Japanese anime "Doraemon", passed away on Sept. 29 at the age of 90.
Oyama was born in Tokyo and began her career in the voice acting industry at a young age. She was the voice of Doraemon from 1979 to 2005.
Her portrayal of the iconic robotic cat Doraemon endeared her to generations of fans, making her one of the most recognized voices in Japanese animation.
Reports indicate that Oyama died of natural causes related to old age at a hospital in Tokyo. In addition to battling colorectal cancer and a stroke, she was diagnosed with dementia in 2015.
