Watch This | Alternative ways advised as congestion at Shenzhen Bay Bridge
Due to the Double Ninth Festival holiday, many citizens are traveling north to Guangdong, causing heavy traffic on the Shenzhen Bay Bridge towards Shenzhen.
The bridge is congested with taxis and tour buses, and many travelers with luggage are also seen at the Shenzhen Bay port. Netizens have posted online that they have been stuck in traffic on the bridge for over half an hour, estimating another hour to clear the bridge.
In light of the situation on the Shenzhen Bay Bridge, the Chief Transport Officer, Leung Yat-kiu, has urged citizens to plan their journeys wisely, travel during off-peak times if possible, allow ample time, remain patient during waits, and consider using alternative ports to Shenzhen.
