
In the men's team match at the Asian Table Tennis Championships, Hong Kong faced Japan in a battle for fifth and sixth place. HK's Chan Baldwin Ho-wah secured the first win for his team, defeating Japan's top player Tomokazu Harimoto with a 3-1 victory.
The scores for each of the four sets were 13-11, 10-12, 11-9, and 11-9.
Chan Baldwin Ho-wah, born in 2004, is currently ranked 137th in the world, while Harimoto holds the world No. 9 ranking.
